# Ghost

> Publish articles straight to your Ghost site with an Admin API key.

The Ghost connector creates posts on your Ghost site (Ghost(Pro) or self-hosted, version 5+)
through the Ghost Admin API. Posts go live as **published**, with title, slug, excerpt, feature
image, SEO meta and structured data filled in.

## Step 1 — Create a custom integration in Ghost

1. In Ghost Admin, open **Settings → Advanced → Integrations** (older versions: **Settings → Integrations**).
2. Click **Add custom integration**, name it **SeoSorted**, and click **Create**.
3. Ghost shows two values. Keep this page open:
   * **Admin API key** — looks like `6489f0a1b2c3d4e5f6a7b8c9:4f1e…` (24 characters, a colon, 64 characters).
   * **API URL** — usually your site address, e.g. `https://yourblog.ghost.io`.

<Warning>
  Copy the **Admin** API key, not the Content API key. The Content API key is read-only and the
  connection will be refused.

## Step 2 — Connect

**Project Settings → Integrations → Ghost → Connect**.

We call your Ghost site with the key before saving, so a wrong URL or key fails here rather
than on your first publish.

## Republishing, unpublishing and deleting

* **Republish** updates the same Ghost post in place — never a duplicate. If the post was deleted
  in Ghost, a new one is created.
* **Unpublish** moves the post back to **Draft** in Ghost.
* **Deleting** the article in SeoSorted deletes the Ghost post.

## Troubleshooting

    The key was regenerated in Ghost, or the Content API key was pasted. Copy the Admin API key again.

    Use the **API URL** shown on the integration. On a custom domain that redirects, try the
    `*.ghost.io` address instead.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Tables or embeds look different in the Ghost editor">
    Ghost converts HTML into its own cards. Anything it can't convert is kept as an HTML card,
    so it still renders on the site exactly as published.
